Abstract
This article highlights the remarkable methodological parallels between nineteenth-century French legal exegesis and contemporary German philology, arguing that both interpretive traditions share fundamental hermeneutic principles. Both the legal scholars commenting on the Civil Code (Demolombe, Aubry and Rau, Baudry-Lacantinerie) and the classical philologists (Schleiermacher, Wolf, Boeckh) agree on three postulates: the primacy of the authentic and certainly established text, the conviction that each text can only have a single truly unique meaning, and the interpreter's mission to reconstruct the original intention of the author or legislator.

Cet article met en évidence les parallèles méthodologiques remarquables entre l'exégèse juridique française du XIXe siècle et la philologie allemande contemporaine, argumentant que les deux traditions d'interprétation partagent des principes herméneutiques fondamentaux. Tant les jurisconsultes commentateurs du Code civil (Demolombe, Aubry et Rau, Baudry-Lacantinerie) que les philologues classiques (Schleiermacher, Wolf, Boeckh) s'accordent sur trois postulats : la primauté du texte authentique et établi avec certitude, la conviction que chaque texte ne peut avoir qu'un seul sens véritablement unique, et la mission de l'interprète de reconstituer l'intention originale de l'auteur ou du législateur.
